If you are looking for a Thursday night dual meet in the Fox Valley Area Neenah vs Hortonville will take place on the grand stage in Pickard Auditorium at Neenah High School.

We will have some special effects with music, lighting, and the color guard presentation of the American Flag for the National Anthem.

We will have a Middle School Dual starting at 4:30.  The J.V. dual will follow at 6:15 with Varsity starting around 7:30.

Hope to see some wrestling fans throughout the area in attendance.

I really like the change in Venue, doubling a MS meet with it and whatever else you bring to the table.

Thanks for the thought on the live stream.  We are looking into it and should have it up and running.  I will keep you posted however it will be on the Neenah Joint School District YouTube channel if available.

this event was awesome!!!!!!!!! what a great way to showcase wrestling!!!!!!!!!!!! the atmosphere was outstanding, exactly what our sport needs to promote it...........it was great entertainment which is what I think all wrestling duals need to strive for to attract a fan base that does not come from the "die hard" wrestling folks.........kudos Neenah..........more teams need to do events like this!!!

DocWrestling

as I watched, I kept wondering why don't teams do there duals in these auditoriums all the time.  So much easier to control lights and sound/music to create energy and make it fun.  I also was thinking that every school should have a tech/media club that could stream all high school sports and earn credit and experience from it.  Neenah did both.

We moved some of our duals to our small gym simply because it was more intimate and louder and more energy with bleachers full than when lost in middle of fieldhouse with huge bleachers and empty space.  Problem is the PA system is much worse in the small gym.  Teams are discussing moving events to our old high school gym because it was smaller and bleachers always looked pack and had energy.  Even basketball struggles with atmosphere in huge fieldhouses when games are not the "big" ones.

I kind of liked that the wrestlers themselves attributed to the noise level and the atmosphere. I saw a couple Neenah kids clapping there hands at the crowd to get them going and Barnett telling them to shhh after he pins his kid. Was alot of fun last night. Nice work neenah
