Yes and apparently Carter Storacci is moving up to 197 lbs.  Stephen Buchanan can't catch a break.

The UW-Oshkosh men's wrestling program will be starting its Wall Mat Fundraising Campaign on May 15 and will run it through June 5. Head men's wrestling coach Aaron Konitzer gives details on the campaign:

"Hello Titan Wrestling Family! Coach Aaron Konitzer here, Head men's wrestling coach at UW-Oshkosh. As we look forward to next year with continuing to build the program, and the addition of our women's program (which Coach Jared Costa has 25 commits to so far!), we are beginning a social media campaign to help with improvements to our wrestling room. The first step in improving our facility is to upgrade the wall mats, which are subpar and need to be replaced. We have a design for new mats created (click on article to see), but we need help making it a reality. In order to raise funds for the project, which is estimated to be $12,000, we're doing this campaign to help pay for at least half of the total cost ($6000). If you or someone you know had a great experience at UW-Oshkosh, please consider donating to this much needed enhancement. No donation is too small; every dollar matters!"

Donations can be given to the link below:

For any questions, please feel free to contact Aaron Konitzer at konitzera@uwosh.edu or his office phone at 920-424-1201

Would the 24-25 Badgers beat the 24-25 Parkside team?

rjchev141 - Cam Amine or Andrew Alirez??????  Unfortuantely I have a better chance of winning Powerball than the Badgers landing one of those two guys.........:)

Yes that was meant to be the point.  Those immediate title or AA contenders are out of reach for WI.  I would go a step further and say top 20 guys seem to be out of reach as well.  WI is a tough sell at the moment.

Then again, who knows, maybe it is worse than I think and WI doesn't even have scholarship money to offer?

BadgerOne - my apologies, I did totally misinterpret your message.  I do believe things really bottom out this year and it is going to be very ugly.  I'm not sure the administration cares either way to be honest - Bono is good at collecting a check and he is terrible at recruiting and developing..........he's nothing more than a "hype" man and a good used car salesman.  Problem is his salary is much  much higher than any used car salesman.......

Quote from: wrestle03 on Yesterday at 07:59:26 PMBadgerOne I hope you are joking.  This team aint rising any time soon.  Need a new coach, a new wrestling fieldhouse, and NIL money.  It's likely none of the three will be happening any time soon.
I think you misinterpreted my message.  Mediocrity can be an obstacle to progress.  If the Badgers have a bad enough year, it may force changes and Bono is likely gone.  If they stay mediocre, Bono might be collecting checks for a long long time

Can anyone guess how many scholarships WI might be working with currently?  It has to be significant correct?  I would hope so.  This is one of the many worries at the moment.  Based on the current roster, there should be some significant offers in play, yet still the trajectory isn't improving.  I would expect full offers to Cam Amine and Terrell Barraclough (165 is clear need correct).  Andrew Alirez at 141 as well.  Yes I know these names are not realistic without a large NIL deal.  Additionally I hate to say it, but I'm guessing WI has to outbid the next best offer too, just to have a shot with anyone.

Quote from: Ledger on Yesterday at 03:23:29 PMWisconsin is ranked 49th in the team rankings.  Uggh.
Sometimes you need a program to bottom out before it can rise again. :)
