Intermat rankings.

125.... #14 Piotrowski
133.... #19 Duncan
141.... #4  Carr
149....  NR
157.... #10 Barone
165....  NR
174....  NR
184.... #7 Parker
197.... NR
285... NR.

The Badgers have their hands full this Sunday, but I really think if Lantz can pull off a win, it could set up for a win.

125.... 4-0 Ill
133...  4-3 Ill
141...  7-3 Ill
149...  7-7
157...  11-7 Ill
165...  11-11
174...  14-11 Ill
184...  17-11 Ill
197...  17-14 Ill
285...  17-17

I don't know anything about Illinois non ranked guys, so not sure how those will pan out....  Hoping for a good match!

IMO no way does Model get majored. Kid has some talent and a motor that literally never stops.

leg turk

I hope your right, I guess that's a worse case scenario for me, and I agree he has a huge motor.

It would be great if Moran or Wick could pick up a tech or pin.

thesweep

Moran has got the #4 guy so I doubt he gets the tech.  He's a pinner though so you never know there.

Wrestlestat has it "Wisconsin over Illinois 18 - 15" but they also have Moran winning, which is a possibility but also a big "if."  This is with Rotundo, Model, and Spray in the line-up.

It's going to be a fun dual for sure.

leg turk

Ya, I screwed up there, for a minute i thought he had the non ranked guy, but thats Martin...

W18-15 surprises me. I looked at it and am hoping the home crowd can help get a couple of surprise wins. Really need the starters back so we arn't saying wait until next year...

if that line up goes I would think Bucky wins 22-16 but it could be a big swing if RC does not go

The University put out their promotional "Five things to know" for the Illinois match. On the bottom was this...

1/25 Wisconsin vs. Minnesota Probable Matchups
125 – Ethan Rotondo (1-0) vs. No. 11 Travis Piotrowski (14-7)
133 – Jens Lantz (10-12) vs. Dylan Duncan (10-8)
141 – No. 8 Tristan Moran (20-5) vs. No. 4 Mike Carr (10-2)
149 – No. 11 Cole Martin (14-8) vs. Christian Kanzler (3-10)
157 – Garrett Model (9-8) OR Zander Wick (6-5) vs. No. 9 Eric Barone (15-9)
165 – No. 3 Evan Wick (23-1) vs. No. 18 Joey Gunther (16-9)
174 – Ryan Christensen (14-5) vs. Carver James (11-10)
184 – Mason Reinhardt (19-8) vs. No. 5 Emery Parker (11-2)
197 – Beau Breske (6-4) vs. Andre Lee (15-10)
285 – No. 7 Trent Hillger (17-4) vs. Deuce Rachal (8-13)

On the one hand, they are very obviously delegating this to the very bottom rung of their unit. The person that did this clearly copied-and-pasted from the Minnesota "Five things," as evidenced by the "1/25 Minnesota v Wisconsin" header. That's just to say, take what this says with a grain of salt.

That said, it's clearly been edited to include the Illinois wrestlers, so it isn't a straight copy-and-paste.

Listed is Ryan Christensen. Is that good news? I don't know what to read into this. My best guess is that we forfeit 174 on Sunday.

Why would we FF 174?

Lol we aren't forfeiting 174. Zero chance. Don't know what your thinking Luke, Spray will wrestle.

Think we are seeing it again like against Minnesota. Model loses a close match to 9 Barone, but clearly out wrestled him. Guy stalled his butt off and same thing with Gunther against Wick.

Harris

Does anyone see Connor Brown around the field house?

Nice to get a W missing a good chunk of the team!
