Iowa did not wrestle some guys but that is best effort against Iowa in a really long time.  We wrestled very hard and attacked. Really wanted Amos to win but he seemed to lack some confidence to finish a few attacks.  He definitely is an AA contender.

I don't think I have ever heard of a wrestler (Endene) missing a dual for the birth of his child.

Of Course, this is only my opinion and no one elses!

Impressed the Badgers did not give up as many bonus points as I thought they would but I also did not expect Iowa not to wrestle all their starters. Hoping they right the ship tomorrow with a good win.

Last season Iowa shut out the Badgers 45-0.
The Iowa payroll is estimated to be $2-3 million.
I doubt the Badger payroll is $50k.
There are no moral victories but on this message board the Bono haters and the cowards who enjoyed taking anonymous jabs at the wrestlers sure seem quiet. A couple have peeked out but quickly scurried away like roaches.

Last year you were saying
"A team needs some hammers.  Ranked simply means they should qualify for NCAA tournament.  We need some All-Americans. I don't see anyone on the roster that can get into the top 10 rankings likely in their career.  Rivera is the once chance but I just don't see him getting there.  Maybe some day he could get to blood round.

Amos wrestling for the Badgers is a wildcard and him having success at 285 seems interesting.  He was a big recruit but was underwhelming in his one year and now is at heavyweight

We truly need a incoming recruit or maybe transfer that can bring excitement to be an AA"

What a difference a year makes.  Not taking a jab at you at all.  You couldn't see the potential last year, heck, we camouflaged it pretty well lol.  It looks like you recognize that we have multiple All-American candidates, Amos is indeed "interesting", and we didn't buy our improvement from the portal.  Love the positivity this year!

As for Moe missing duals, I am all for being a family man.  His partner must be in a very long labor, he has not wrestled since his November 30th loss to Rocky Elam.  Can you imagine the heat Chris Bono would take on this message board if one of his wrestlers who was getting paid six figures took 6 weeks off and missed multiple events/duals?  What if Moe doesn't return to Iowa?  What if it's deja vu and he takes their money and runs?  Will his departure last year still be attributed to Bono or maybe just maybe will critics entertain the possibility that some of the blame was attributable to the wrestler?

Amos wins that match in any other venue but Carver in my opinion. He was attacking and took... 8-10 shots. Keuter was getting pushed off the mat and other than the early stall, they didn't hit him again.

Maybe Keuter than has to attack... which is tough to do vs Amos. But that match reffed at the NCAAs, the fist is going in the air a couple times.

I think Amos has a legitimate shot at winning it.

Rivera and Zargo are guys who could have a big tournament and finish on the stand.
And again, their best Wrestler, the one who just beat the 2X Finalist and took 4th as a Freshmen, he has a Tsunami of young talent coming at him. Really hope he can handle Davino, Jax Forrest, Marcus Blaze, Kyler Larkin(or... one Larkin in any event) and Davino... on top of the defending Champ Byrd, the Runner up and Romney is back(though I believe he moved to 141).

Still, definitely looking better this year.

33 is ridiculous and you did not even mention Crookham who just came back. If he is healthy (which is a big if) he could be the best of the bunch. He was the only guy to beat Vito in his final year and he did it twice! To AA at 33 this year is going to require a wrestler to have a really good tournament. Guys on your list are going to end up in the blood round. It is brutal to have to beat someone of that quality to AA

Yeah, that's a massive oversight, as it not mentioning Siedel. He's right there from the looks of it. I'd probably take Crookham if healthy. Blaze and Forrest is the matchup everyone wants to see.

I really like Byrd also, but the rest of the weight is so deep, glad he won it last year. Ayala, I'm not even sure he's regressed and he's 4-5. It's not like Figueroa who looks like he's just... happy to have won one and done now.
