If Parkside could have kept those 3 kids from Mankato at home they would have placed higher  ;D

Congratulations to all wrestlers.

Da'Jun has been on a journey for sure. Proud that he didn't give up. Just couldn't get away in the second period. 3rd place is a great accomplishment. He's always been great when the lights are brightest.
As long as we are keeping score, I've got something to prove

Nice job to the Parkside guys!

Outside the 2 from Parkside and add in Muiener, Hayward, Ramberg that also AA and true freshman Hush that lost a tight one in the blood round for Mankato, the Wisconsin wrestlers did alright for sure!

Plus 2 of the top 3 teams in D2 were from that regional! 3 of the top 6 and 5 of the top 19! Plus how many kids from the regional lost in the blood round? 4 that I can think of! You get out of the region there is a 50/50 chance you AA!

NSIC is like the Big Ten of D2. Lots of just plain tough teams, plus lots of transfers coming in to that region/conference!

That is spot on.  Could you imagine if they used the Super Region 5 as a conference tournament with allocations instead of top 3.

Reece Barnhardt of UMary 133 ranked No.1 placed 3rd at super region, but became a National Champ.  No. 3 in the country placed 6th and stayed home.  A few other weights had similar outcomes.  Tough region for sure.

I believe Chi (Parkside/ranked 3rd in the country) beat the #1 seed (and runner up) at the national tournament twice this year... and Chi didn't make the national tournament... Barnhardt would win a lot of matches in Division I...

Just a tough region to say the least. Over the past 3 years there has been a few weight classes that have all 3 of the region qualifiers AA.

You earn you spot at nationals coming out of that region!
