How about this year's freshmen records.

There was an extremely good class of freshmen this year.

How about freshman Tucker Athey from Bay Port?  He finished the season 49-9 and took 5th place at state at 165 lbs. in Div. 1.

DuperSuck

Freshman Collin Hamm was a runner up at state this year and ended with a 57-4 record.

Bollig leading the charge as a potential 4-timer...

and the way he dominated Rochon 3 out of 4 times, he's got what it takes to continue to put on a show. I thought Rochon was going to be a 4-timer until Bollig came along... Rochon is a beast and can still figure things out in the future.

I'll compile some records once I get enough free time. It was fun to follow this freshmen group.

100%. Bollig is a focused beast!

His Dad, Mike Athey, is one of the best wrestlers in state history that didn't win a state title. He went 107-9 in three years wrestling at 152 and 160 for Bay Port from 98-00. He placed 2nd, 3rd and 5th (losing to the eventual state champion at state all three years - Ryan Lewis, Matt Neumueller and Chris Borchardt).

He didn't wrestle varsity as a freshman because 3x State Champion Jay Van Lannen was at his weight and the weight class above had his brother (also a state champion).

He was a beast on the mat.

I remember Athey because of Nuemiller. That's definitely one of the best not to win a title.
