Hi gang,

I'll be helping cover the WIAC and Wisconsin Wrestling on the D3 level again this season. Who are some wrestlers/teams I should look out for? What are some interesting story lines? Who should I cheer for or against?

In my initial 5 minutes of research Eau Claire is the team to beat. The bottom half of the WIAC added a lot of firepower and should be much improved. Jalin Conner will take some losses, but eventually be holding a 149 bracket board at the end of the season in Rhode Island. Those are my locks, put them online or see your local bookie and take it to the bank.

Looking forward to a great season of Wisconsin Wrestling. Grateful to the athletes, coaches and families who make this all possible. Let's have some fun this season, Go Hawks!

Peace and much love to you,
Shane Kennelly

It ain't the six minutes...it's what happens in that six minutes

It'll be a close one between Eau Claire and La Crosse this year.  La Crosse lost their 157 lb national champ and 165 lb runner-up to graduation, but they've reloaded with Tanner Gerber at 157 (transfer from NSDU), and Tate Flege (last year's 165 lb back-up) who's already ranked.  They have a dual already on Dec. 11th, so we'll find out more then.
