That the staff couldnt land any of these kids, should get someone fired. IMO

Plus the current staff didn't even sit down and talk to a few of them! That is the real failure not even talking with these studs!

As discussed multiple times, not every coach in every sport can recruit all of the kids they might like to be it coaches visiting them, or bringing in kids to the UW. Certain requirements on both ends must be met. Just slide to the Guillotine "Where are they going?" page and by year, look at the State Champs that have gone elsewhere. Some made the choice to go somewhere else. Some were highly influenced by a coach to go elsewhere (I can list 5 D1 AA's from one high school that went to iowa because that's where their coach wrestled. Allegiance to an alma mater is very real as we all know.) and with 100% certainty, some just couldn't be recruited. Every state has this same situation. Think of PA and NJ, they lose studs every year and have for decades.

Hugh

PA and NJ have kept more of their studs than Wisconsin has. The reason we arent good right now is because we havent recruited well in our state.
