School Programs and Clubs

It is clear to most that clubs all over the state has improved the sport of wrestling.  The clubs deserve recognition for the success.  We also understand that they are a business and a part of that business is advertising that success to continue to grow the business.  However, I wish the clubs would give credit to the programs from where those wrestlers are coming from. 

In some cases, the high school/middle school coach encourages the club involvement to better their program, in other cases it is the parents.  One thing is clear...in most cases the wrestler would not have joined the club without the work of the youth, middle school, or high school (many times the same person) coach.  I wish in their boastful advertisements, they would give a shout to the programs that most of the times got them started in the sport...or even better give a donation to those programs!
