LINCOLN, Neb. — No. 15 Wisconsin wrestling saw three Badgers win their individual bouts on Sunday at No. 5 Nebraska, but lost 24-11 at the Devaney Center against the Huskers.

No. 29 Taylor LaMont snapped a recent losing streak with a gritty 2-0 decision victory against former Badger and current Husker No. 32 Kyle Burwick at 133 pounds to put the Badgers on the scoreboard. After a scoreless first period, LaMont broke the stalemate with a hard-fought escape against Burwick for a 1-0 lead and then built up riding time to earn his second point and the victory.

True to form, No. 7 Dean Hamiti dominated his opponent No. 32 Bubba Wilson at 165 pounds, earning an impressive 10 nearfall points and two takedowns en route to a 17-2 tech fall victory in 7:00. Hamiti's riding time secured the tech fall and gave Wisconsin a much-needed five team points against Nebraska.

Although the team victory was now out of reach, heavyweight Trent Hillger, ranked No. 11 by Intermat, earned a 9-2 decision against Cale Davidson at 285 pounds. Hillger's superior size and strength helped him ride Davidson for more than three minutes in the bout coupled with three takedowns and an escape, in addition to a penalty point against Davidson for stalling as the Husker tried to find ways to escape Hillger's control.

Missing Austin Gomez at 149 pounds due to a leg injury suffered against Northwestern on Friday, the Badgers wrestled Aidan Medora in the lineup. Medora earned his first Big Ten dual start of the season for the Badgers, putting up a hard-nosed battle against Nebraska's Brock Hardy in the 7-3 decision loss.

Full results are below. Wisconsin will rest this week with a bye weekend in Big Ten dual action before returning to the Field House on Saturday, Feb. 11 to host Minnesota for the last dual of the conference season. The dual match starts at 1 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live across the nation on Big Ten Network and will also celebrate Student Day with fun giveaways for all attending UW-Madison students. Wisconsin will then wrap the regular season at home in a dual match against Northern Iowa on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. CT and celebrate the Badgers' graduating seniors.
