112 Sectional Qualifiers
32 State Qualifiers
16 State Place winners
7 State Finalists
3 State Champions

Sectional Qualifiers
2022 Total: 112
2021 Total: 129
2020 Total: 116
2019 Total: 119
2018 Total: 99
2017 Total: 98

State Qualifiers
2022: 32
2021: 36
2020: 37
2019: 28
2018: 25

2022: 16 Placewinners, 7 Finalists, 3 Champs
2021: 16 Placewinners, 8 Finalists, 2 Champs
2020: 13 Placewinners, 4 Finalists, 2 Champs
2019: 14 Placewinners, 7 Finalists, 2 Champs
2018: 15 Placewinners, 4 Finalist, 2 Champs
2017: 15 Placewinners, 9 Finalists, 4 Champs

As expected numbers were down in number of state qualifiers and sectional qualifiers.  I haven't done the data on number of participants at the conference tournament but it seemed to me like there was an abnormal amount of teams with 10 or less guys in our conference.

Conference Tournament Participation
Year: Total: # per team
2022: 158 - 10.5
2020: 174 - 11.6
2019: 173 - 11.5
2018: 169 - 11.3
2017: 147 - 11.3
2016: 156 - 12
2015: 145 - 11.2
2014: 138 - 11.5
2013: 150 - 12.5
2012: 154 - 11.8
2011: 158 - 12.2
2010: 163 - 12.5
2009: 163 - 12.5
2008: 157 - 13.1
2007: 145 - 12.1
2006: 146 - 12.2
2005: 157 - 13.1

2022-2018: 15 Teams
2017-2015; 2012-2009: 13 Teams
2014-2013; 2008-2005: 12 Teams

I sparked my own curiosity and then I went deeper than I was expecting too.  My hunch was not wrong on the number of athletes this year.  It was substantially lower than normal.  It's also interesting to see the trend of of teams getting smaller.  I think most of us already knew that but it's different when you can see it so easily.

Also, with team numbers being smaller now, Madison Edgewood really wouldn't be the odd duck anymore.  It would actually be easier for them to get their team up and running again.

The addition of Wisconsin Rapids-Lincoln to Sectional C, where 7 of the  Badger Conf teams compete, made an impact.  Rapids sent 6 to State from that Sectional.
Why don't mass murders use other guns, weapons or household objects as often as they do semi-auto handguns and assault rifles?

Why does the conference do a 1st team of each side of the conference instead of just 1 first team and 1 2nd etc?
