Don't be sleeping on the Dolphin brothers at 132 and 106. KCL wrestlers are always dangerous down in Madison.

Dolphins are notoriously dangerous

Dangerous to the competition or themselves? they were a combined 2-6 at state last year with a couple of 6th places I believe.
I will say that this has been the first year where KCL has seen some better regular season competition.

Didn't the heavier one beat Brody Hart?

I will do my Top 3 in order:

D3
106-Dolphin, Fitzpatrick, Unser
113-Campbell, Biba, Radintz
120-Johnson, Carpenter, Muench
126-Mannel, Sullivan, Sonnetag
132-Gerber, Dolphin, Carton
138-Drexler, Riley, Lentz
145-Erickson, Casper, Delsman
152-Brosinski, Lucio, Drier
160-Marko, Stewart, Miess
170-Cracraft, Dormanen, Roy
182-Schwabe, Welch, Thompson
195-Dorota, Smart, McCartney
220-Tegels, Ebert, Gauderman
285-Nottestad, Zann, Nelson

106  Dolphin, Unser, Fitzpatrik (I give Unser a legit shot to win this weight class. He has improved as the season has went on. Could upset Dolphin if he stays off his back. He has the advantage in neutral)
113   Radintz, Johnson, Kelly ("seeding" really hurt Kelly here. Likely the second best in the bracket (2-1 vs Johnson). Radintz is far above the competition.
120   Johnson, Carpenter, Glinski (Dawson Johnson is on his way to being a very dominant 4 timer.)
126   Sonnentag, Birchman, Mannel
132   Gerber, Dolphin, Knops (tough group out of the northern sectional. Gerber is just too tough to see anyone else here.)
138   Drexler, Riley, Lentz (Congrats on number 3)
145   Erickson, Casper, Fledge
152   Lucio, Drier, Penchi (wide open. Should be fun to watch this weight play out)
160   Marko, Stewart, Hargrove (Marko is too tough to score on to see an upset here. He wins 5-2 in the finals
170   Dormamen, Cracraft, Roy
182   Schwabe, Manning, webster
195   Dorta, Smart, Rydlund (Dorta walks his way through this one. Would have like to have had Rydlund and  Smart meet on the other side.)
220   Tegals, Ebert , Winkers
285   Nottestad, Nelson, Zahn (Finals should be exciting here)

106: I think Fitz majors Unser... Unser vs Comins will be a great quarterfinals. i pick Fitz over Nutter in the finals. Dolphin vs Carey will be a great quarterfinal to watch.. as both of them have the ability to beat Nutter. Wendling is close on their tails though, as he won't be an easy out.

113: inappropriate seeds. Freshman Rule may have the best resume so far in the bottom half of the bracket, but all the kids are close talent wise. Fun matches coming up. Co'Ji isn't a lock for the medal stand, as Weiler, Kelly and Dodson all have big time potential.

BloodTime

106- Drew Dolphin
113-Ian Radintz
120-Dawson Johnson
126-Brayden Sonnentag
132-Tanner Gerber
138-Gavin Drexler
145-Cael Erickson
152-Elijah Lucio
160-Kole Marko
170-Tyler Dormanen
182-Sam Schwabe
195-Raife Smart
220-Gavin Tegels
285-Dylan Nottestad

Any word on what happened with Dorota at 195? Thats a huge switch up, with him not going. Smart would be the heavy favorite.

Can anyone not picking Sonnentag at 126 be taken seriously?

Quack

I am trying to get familiar with more of the D3 kids and I don't see the Cal Dortra you guys picked in the 195 bracket?
Come off, like you go on.

They shouldn't be. 113-138 all have heavy favorites. Crazy thing is I think they all train together 🤪

I mean him and Mannel had a very close match earlier in the year.

Yes, Sonnentag is beatable but it would be an upset.

So kudos to them for attempting to pick an upset.

I probably put a jinx on Sonnentag with my comment.
