Raiders Finish In Middle Of Pack At Al Hanke Invite

ELMHURST, Ill. – MSOE wrestling's busy month continued on Saturday afternoon when they headed south to battle at the Al Hanke Invitational. The Raiders showed up and put together some good results at the meet hosted by Elmhurst University.

RESULT
10th out of 16 teams (42 points)

HOW IT HAPPENED

Everyone on the MSOE roster turned in respectable results as all but one Raider contributed points to the overall team total.
Gianni Rago (149) and Noah Nieberle (285) both came in 7th place with Rago winning his final bout a 5-4 decision and Nieberle securing his spot with a 5-3 decision.
The two highest finishers of the afternoon were Caleb Brick (165) and Jack Horihan (197). Brick made it all the way to the 5th place match before suffering a defeat via fall. Meanwhile, Horihan won two straight bouts before taking the loss in his final match of the day thanks to a 5-4 decision in favor of his opponent.
Their tenth-place finish was the highest they have scored so far at an invitational this season.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will head to Aurora on Thursday, January 20th for a non-conference dual. The first match will start at 7:00 pm in Illinois.
