Homer pick to win team

Couldn't help myself!!  I tried to talk myself out of it but couldn't do it :-)  Only the ABP dual left, and I don't believe that will be a contest, so we go into the tournament in first place for the dual season all by ourselves.   Only needing a 2nd place finish in the tourney to clinch at least a share of the title, I couldn't make any other pick!  If I'm picking just the tournament champ, that's a little tougher..  Bonduel has the horses to have a shot to finish first, but there are some holes in the lineup.  We have some holes too, but I don't think quite as many..  Do the holes in both Bonduel and WB's lineups give Amherst a shot as they can fill every weight class??  Not as many horses at the top, but maybe they can score enough points to make it interesting???   How crazy would a 3 way tie for conference be??

Willie

Nope Amherst will be lucky to finish in the top 5 of the tournament. Have they brought more then 9 guys to a weekend tournament? I feel they are more of a part time full team.

You guys may be right..  Some of the wrestlers scoring in 6 in duals and keeping them close or assisting in a win might not score many at the tournament.  Will be fun to see how it all shakes out!!

Gizmo6

106- Armatoski over Wudke/Esser (don't know enough about these guys to make a decision but these 3 standout from the rest of the weight)
113- Klemm over Potrykus
120- Greening over Helser
126- Moegenberg over Bo
132- Applebee over Toellner
138- Sokolski over Jahnke (I see this match being much closer than the dual, TOUGH kids)
145- Esker over Griffin
152- Blade over Urquhart (tough one because WB didn't wrestle him in the dual)
160- Haas over ??? (Kind of wide open behind Haas, could be an interesting result here: Meyerhoeffer, Betry, Laguines, Bartel??)
170- Charnecke over Schuh (This could go either way, kind of a wide open weight class)
182- Strehlow over Anderson
195- Sanger over Banker
220- Elmhorst over Maynard
HWT- Uttech over Farkas

Teams
1. WB
2. Bonduel
3. WF

Can't find fault with those picks, and I agree on 138, I expect it to be a close match Saturday.    Struggled with the pick at 132 as well.  A lot of quality wrestlers at the top of the CWC..

With the latest rankings, we have at least wrestler mentioned in the rankings at every weight class between the D2 and D3 rankings. Kind of a pain with D2 and D3, but should be easier next year when based on published enrollment numbers I expect the entire conference to be D3.  Should make for some very competitive wrestling in the semi's and finals!  I apologize if I missed anyone, but did my best to quickly scrub both rankings and list wrestlers listed in the rankings.

Good picks, but at 182 Strehlow beat Anderson and then Anderson beat Gauderman. So Anderson and Gauderman will wrestle in the semis. WB had a chance to wrestle Gauderman in the dual against Strehlow or Sanger and decided not to have him wrestle for whatever reason.

Well that's weird Guadermann is tough!
How much did strehlow beat Anderson?
