Pretty cool to see Wisconsin's own Airk Furseth knock off big, bad Nittany Lion/Hawkeye Gavin Teasdale.

On the way to his only state title, his senior year, Furseth beat 9th grader, Peyton Mocco, 10th grader, Dylan Koontz, and then defending state champ Tyus White in the finals. Also in that 2015, Division 1, 113-pound bracket was future state champ Mason McMillen, and future finalists Jacob Barnett, Tristan Jenny, and Eric Wunsch.

Airk was an 86lb Frosh.  Had he not been undersized mos of his HS career he would have been a multi-time champ in my opinion.  He always had the skill level.  What a great win for him this last weekend.  Looking forward to seeing what this season holds.
