Ben Thornton Purdue Consolation Round 2 winner!
Consolation Round 2 - Ben Thornton (Purdue 23-10) defeated Sean Nickell (CSU Bakersfield 26-10) by major decision 13-2.
Nickell scored first with a takedown in 1st and Thornton escaped.
Second period Thornton deferred, and Nickell chose bottom. Thornton rode and turned him at the one-minute mark with a wrist tilt for four to go up 5-2
In third, Thornton chose down and escaped got takedown early and rode with near arm tight waste, scoring another 4 point tilt closing out the scoring for the win. With riding time final was Thornton 13-2.
