Projected Roster:

125 Lantz / McClelland / Jimenez (RS)
133 Stickley / Cullen / Spray (RS)
141 Grahek / Rowh / Martin
149 Crone / Lubeck / Donar / Zander Wick (RS)
157 Ruschell / Scharenbrock / Schmid / Evan Wick (RS)
165 Jordan / Quintanilla / Cathery / Covaciu (RS)
174 Christensen / Liegel
184 Robertson / Stilling
197 Peissig / Ritter / Reinhardt / Chadd
285 Medbery / Stone / Wetter (RS)

Last year's starter, or projected starter if new, listed first; should be some great battles at several weights.

RS - Redshirt

Ricky is going down to 174 and battling it out with chrisensen and ritter is going 184, reinhardt will start over peissig.

According to Barry RR will be at 184 and RC at 174.

"Some things we worked on as well, guys are changing weight classes. Jens Lantz is going from 133 to 125, working on getting his weight down, getting his body strong and getting his strength up.

Eli Stickley, going from 141 to 133, Ryan Christensen going from 184 to 174, Ricky Robertson going from 174 up to 184, Mason Reinhardt going from 184 to 197. Hunter Ritter was 197 last year for a little bit and now going back down to 184. Izaec Quintanilla, going from 165 to 157. So a lot of changes that way, body-wise.

So those type of things there we had to change as far as lifting. What they lifted and how they lifted to bring their body fat down but keep their strength up. Guys like Ricky going up a weight class, that was different, different type of training. More heavy lifting with (Strength Coach) Billy (Breider). So we've had to really be on top of our game in adjusting things for guys, which way they're going, up or down, so that's very critical to us as a staff."

I have not heard any talk about Jake Stilling, who wrestled some varsity at 184 last year. Will he remain at 184?

I have a hard time believing Ritter won't find his way into the lineup somewhere. I think he beat Reinhardt 7-2 last year.

wrastle63

Reinhardt and Ritter is close match. But if Ritter is cutting to 84 won't be as strong as Reinhardt at 97. I think Cole Martin will be the starter at 141.

And a two time qualifier does not start
And a good group behind this group with the freshmen
Seem to be headed in the right direction

If you told me after his freshman year that Robertson was healthy and on the roster, but couldn't make the starting lineup, I would not have believed you.

Hopefully that means both Ritter and Reinhardt are both top 20 wrestlers at their weights.

Saw a few different versions of the singlets for this year when I was up there last. Sounds like we will have at least 2 different ones, likely 3. The design I saw for one looked pretty cool. The material will take a bit of washing and stretching - seems very tight fitting.

Yeah... the sizes I used to fit into are pretty tight fitting now too.  It's called getting old, Drew  ;)

Pretty excited for a new singlet with some young wrestlers coming in.

No dog kissing necessary Coach - I'm hovering a little less than 140 nowadays. About 5-6 lbs lighter than when I entered my 5th year.
