BUCKEYES IN A NUTSHELL
•        At 9-3 overall and 6-2 in the Big Ten, Ohio State is ranked No. 10 in this week's USA Today/NWCA poll.
•        Two members of Ohio State's lineup remain unbeaten this year – No. 1 Nathan Tomasello (125 lbs., 16-0) and No. 2 Bo Jordan (165 lbs., 13-0). Kyle Snyder (2-0) is also undefeated in the two dual matches that he's wrestled in.
•        Tomasello's 3-1 decision over Penn State's No. 4 Nico Megaludis was his 34th consecutive win and 18th in a row against a ranked opponent. So far this season, the defending national champion has defeated two top-five opponents (Virginia Tech's Joey Dance being the other).
•        Seven of Ohio State's 10 probable starters are ranked in this week's InterMat polls. Tomasello has a stranglehold on the top spot at 125 lbs. while Jordan holds steady at No. 2 at 165 lbs. Bo's brother, Micah, is No. 4 at 141 pounds and has won 18 of his 19 matches this season.
•        The four victorious Buckeyes last Friday vs. Penn State (Tomasello, B. Jordan, M. Jordan and Snyder) have a combined record of 49-1.
•        Ohio State has outscored its opponents 280-189 this season and has put 30 points on the board on two occasions -- Nov. 13 vs. Virginia and Jan. 24 vs. Michigan State.
•        A win on Friday would give Ohio State 15 Big Ten victories over the last two seasons, the most in any two-year period in program history.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
•        B. Jordan currently leads the team with 52 dual points scored (5 F, 1 TF, 2 MD). Tomasello is a close second with 48 points (4 MD, 4 TF, 1 F).
•        In 365 total matches, Ohio State wrestlers are scoring first nearly 66 percent of the time. They've also outscored their opponents 1,141-625 in the first period.
•        The Buckeyes have nearly twice as many takedowns as their opponents (697 for, 332 against).
•        Ohio State wrestlers have combined to outscore their opponents 2,462-1,672 in 365 matches with a .630 winning percentage. The Buckeyes are averaging 6.7 points per match.

WHAT'S NEXT
Ohio State will be one of eight schools to host a NWCA National Duals Championships Series match. Official pairings will be announced on Sunday, Feb. 14. The format is to match the top eight Big Ten programs (seven are currently ranked in the Top 13) against the dual meet champions from the seven other Division I conferences. There will be one at-large team selected based on their national ranking even though they didn't win the dual meet championship of their conference.

Sigh.....I remember the days when NO WAY would tOSU beat us in wrestling.
:-[

tOSU was known as the "Graveyard of Wrestlers"  back in the late 70s early 80s.

This might be ugly, but I hope not. An hour and 15 til lift-off....

Man Zeke just absolutely handled Bo. Never a threat. Really exposed Bo's neutral game.
