When they will be freshman, this is what we have:
125 - Jimenez (JR), Cullen (RS FR)
133 - Taylor (RS SR), Lantz (RS SO)
141 - Stickley (RS FR), Grahek (RS JR), Martin (RS FR)
149 - Lubeck, (RS SR), Wick
157 - Ruschell, (RS SR), Wick, Scharenbrock (RS SO)
165 - Jordan (RS SR), Liegel (RS JR)
174 - Robertson (RS JR)
184 - Christensen (RS SO), Reinhardt (RS FR)
197 - Ritter (RS FR), Chadd (RS FR)
HWT -Medberry (RS SR)

When they will be redshirt freshman, this is what we have:
125 - Jimenez (SR), Cullen (RS SO)
133 - Lantz (RS JR)
141 - Stickley (RS SO), Grahek (RS SR), Martin (RS SO)
149 - Wick
157 - Wick, Scharenbrock (RS JR)
165 - Liegel (RS SR), Lawson (FR)
174 - Robertson (RS SR) -
184 - Christensen (RS JR), Reinhardt (RS SO)
197 - Ritter (RS SO), Chadd (RS SO)
HWT - ???

We have a change to have a very good lineup next year, especially if one of the true freshman we get can make an immediate big impact (Wick's, or Breske/Hall).  Even if they don't, we should have a good to very good wrestler Big 10 wrestler at every weight.  The following year we still have a huge need at HWT, and I am not sure if Robertson will be able to make 174 as a senior.  Obviously getting Hall or Breske would be huge, but getting Gremmel (or a similar HWT), seems very important as well with the need at HWT.

I think we all are very happy when high level recruits
come to the program, including the "haters", since
the only difference between the regular fans and the
haters is that the haters are not happy unless we finish
top 4 or 5 in the conference on a consistent basis and
do not like finishing 8-9th place in the conference tournament.
Hammen always predicts a very high finish in the conference.
This season we are looking at Taylor and Jordan being the
two studs, with Robertson with the potential to be a stud.
We will need at least one other guy to step up big though for
this years team to be considered successful.  Do we have
anybody that will do it, I am not certain.

I an curious to know more about how Wick's
relationship with the coaches was established.

Musky, First of all there's a lot more than a fist full. We've been here before with recruits. Let's see if it translates to wins on the mat or if this is another case of good recruits coming to UW and not getting any better under BD

The Wick's recently wrestled at the California World Challenge.  Evan lost in the finals 2-1 to Saavedra.  Saavendra is ranked as the 19th overall recruit the class of 2016.

Zander beat everyone easily, but didn't have to wrestle anyone at Saavedra's level.

When John Azevedo retired as coach at Cal Poly, he became involved with San Marino high school. He may have influenced their decision. He was an assistant coach at Wisconsin a long time ago. The Pac12 is not a tough conference currently.
Life is a bowl of cherries.

Zander just won another tournament, beating a nationally ranked wrestler in the finals to win it.

Good catch!  John is a good guy and definitely has the overall well-being of the kids in mind.  If this is what happened, I wouldn't be at all surprised.
