In the last couple of days I have heard the phrase "He hit an RBI homer" is there another kind....and "he ran for a six point touchdown" again is there another kind. And what kind of a national announcer would use these phrases.  I know its not PC but holy heck do they have to have a quota even on sports casts.

Honesty, I don't think many of the guys are any better.

"He hit his 13th homer in the 2nd inning."  Now, are we to believe the guy hits all of his homers in the 2nd inning, or, did he hit 13 homers in the 2nd inning of this game?

Likewise, "His 43 yard touchdown run was his 6th of the season."  Really? The guy has 6 touchdowns this season and they were all  43 yard touchdown runs?

I think it's even better when non-wrestling people people try to narrate college, like B1G network.

'He's got his arm in a tough position (called an arm-bar) and trying to get him on his back (the stinkin' point of wrestling.)
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.
