I like Joe C but wasnt a monster fan, though I loved "came in through the bathroom window".

SNL has had some pretty good skits with Joe C over the years.

The Belushi one was magic. I'm not a huge Joe C. guy, either, but I'll always remember "You Are So Beautiful" being a theme song for a weekly monster (Wolf Man one week, Godzilla the next) show I used to watch on Channel 18 in Milwaukee.

Joe had his own way of singing that made it easier to emotionally connect with the music.  I think the guy just put every ounce of feeling into his performance and the audience couldn't help but get carried along for the ride.  I saw him on late night talk shows several times and he seemed like a very nice, unique person.  Considering the life of an entertainer, I think it was pretty remarkable that he and his wife Pam were married for 27 years.
