Training Opportunity for All Interested Middle & High School Wrestlers

Open Mat Training

We have a really exciting opportunity for all interested wrestlers in the North Shore area!  Dr. Bobby Fisher has graciously offered to spend time teaching over the next eight weeks, with the majority of his focus on Greco-Roman/Freestyle.  

Bobby graduated from Platte County High School in 2001, where he won an amazing eight state championships (2 folkstyle, 2 freestyle, 4 Greco).  He was the FILA junior national champion in Greco in 2003 and a member of the FILA World Team.

   March 19th      April 23rd

   March 26th      April 30th
   
   April 2nd              May 7th

   April 9th              May 14th

Where:            Homestead High School (Mezzanine above the Main Gym)

Time:   7:00pm to 8:30pm

Cost:              No charge whatsoever for open mat training, but all wrestlers are asked    
                     to have their USA Cards (we can help get them purchased online the day
                     athletes show up).


Tournament To Follow Open Mat

On Friday, May 16th, all wrestlers will then have the opportunity to wrestle in a tournament at Cedarburg High School.  

Cost is $20 per wrestler, to include both styles.

Coaches Jake Frias and Bob Ryan, along with wrestlers from Lakeland College, will be organizing this event.  It will allow athletes to compete in Greco-Roman and Freestyle close to home in a single evening.
