Ricky Robertson is the real deal. I wonder if he will go 197 lbs next year or decide to wrestle 184.
Crone, Seth Liegel and Stilling are Division I talents also based on these results.

Our best dual team next year would likely be Robertson at 84 and Macall at 97.  The following year it would potentially make sense for Robertson to bump up to 97 with christenson stepping in at 84 the following year.

We will likely be relying on up to 3 of those 4 as starters next year so hope they can transition to the big 10 level well.

Dale Einerson

Nice  group of back ups with those W guys.

Crone stays in tremendous position, refuses to be ridden by kids very good on top, he looks good.

Seth Liegel looks very solid, works very hard, strings moves together.  Has filled out but is muscled up quite a bit from last year.

Grahek is fun to watch, has nice counters and is long and funky.

Not trying to slight any of them, just naming the guys I had the pleasure of watching the most.

That's a difficult question to answer but he was limping a little and a black eye but the last match he wrestled he looked solid. But tweaked a leg not worth destroying it maybe?

I will concur with Dale and his observations the Blugold Open was good solid Tournament with quality wrestlers not a cake walk for anyone. Of course college competition seldom is.

Dale your son came back really tough on the back side of that bracket with a vengeance.

Crone looked really solid Ryan threw allot at them he responded well with counters and scrambles were exciting. Now that said Siedler was injured with a really nasty eye injury from a previous match.

Great day of some really solid wrestling.

Does anyone know who the gentleman was that got his 1000 win Saturday?  Yes 1000

Watched him wrestle the young man from Eau Claire his head position and defense was incredible ......... I think they (college wrestlers) described it as throwing everything they had at him but meeting a"brick wall".

Yup that's who it was and it was really a treat to watch him wrestle and talk with the wrestlers after they competed with him. Just a real pleasure to watch.

That was definitely fun to watch.  We all kept saying who's the old guy, and he was winning...
Dale's kids are beasts with their half.  I've never seen so many quick pins in college.
