Really cold tonight... tomorrow.  Will snow shoe tomorrow out in the wetlands.  Some wind break out there.  Hopefully sunny a bit.

Houndhead

Went for a drive yesterday checking for tracks crossing the road. I was hoping to find some coyotes and try my hand at snaring. Checked about 8 miles of road in the county forest and found one bobcat track and and two spots where deer had crossed the road. All this deep snow really has the wildlife hunkered down. I think they find a food supply and travel as little as possible. I think the coyotes and wolves are probably sticking close to where the logging is taking place because thats where the deer are. I will need to strap on the snowshoes and check out some ares.

My buddy at school just snared his first yote. He was kind of excited.

They are hunkered down. I don't hear much at night but the great horned owl living across the road. Love those things.

Great little (not so little I guess) garbage men of the woods.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.
