Hustisford-Rio/FR/CF-Dodgeland Dual Meet

Tomorrow night these 3 teams will be competing in Dodgeland.  Each school will also be represented by their local Youth Clubs.  The youth wrestlers will start around 5:30.  C'mon out and support some of the areas youth wrestlers!!  (As well as the Varsity teams!)

Johnson Creek and Dodgeland will be doing the same with their dual at the end of January.  I think this is a great way to showcase our sport to the youth kids.  Anything to get more fans in our gyms is a plus. 

Johnson Creek wrestled Horicon last night in a dual and we tried a new way of introducing each participant at the beginning of the dual.  We shut off the lights and started an instrumental version of inappropriate term3's Bells.  We then turned on two spotlights which illuminated a white sheet held up by photography stands.  The wrestlers then stood in between the light and the white sheet.  This caused a shadow of the wrestler who was being introduced.  The wrestlers were introduced and then met in the middle of the mat for a handshake.  It wasn't the greatest thing in the world, but it got a good reception from the fans in the stands.  Anything to make our sport a little more fan friendly.
