I agree.  Though it WAS a horrible loss Graff had, he should still be top six.  Actually if you are being tough about it, he hasn't defeated any ranked guys this year, right?
He should be ahead of Dijulius and Mango in my opinion, neither have any quality wins this season yet.

I have NO idea how T-shirt gets the respect he gets either.

Steinhaus (#4) will destroy Lofthouse (#2) when they meet.

Schiller and Rutt should be #1-#2

To be honest, I think this time of year they just kind of randomly give guys recognition.
I would like to reach through the screen and slap the next person who starts a thread about "global warming." Wraslfan
"Obama thinks we should all be on welfare."  BigG
"MN will eventually go the way of Greece." Wraslfan

Dijulius beat Colon, the same Colon that beat Graff so I would say that was a quality win. He also has wins over #9 Brewer and #17 Bruno

Some of the rankings are a joke right now.  They are not taking into account who is wrestling at home in some of these duals - let's see how some of these matchups play out at tournaments like Midlands.  The Badgers beating Illinois was not that big of an upset if you look at the matchups. I think the Badgers can use the polls to fuel their fire the rest of the year.

By the way, the only poll that ranks the Top 33 at each weight, 8 of the 10 Badgers are ranked - www.wrestlingreport.com

On a side note, I see # 1 Logan Stieber just lost to #8 Retherford - are they going to drop Stieber to #8 in the country at 141 now ?

I'll take Graff over Colon in the rematch, or re-matches.

By the way, did Graff lose to an actual Freshman like Stieber did?

The Seeding Meeting for 133 at the Midlands could be interesting !!

No, but he lost to a redshirt freshman last year. (Conaway)

I have a really good memory  ;D , it's just that sometimes it's a little short  :-\ .   Can somebody remember for me where Graff placed at NCAAs last three times he participated    ;)

The thing for all fans to remember is that no one is superman - on any given day....

Fans have a tendency to crown their kings a bit prematurely, e.g. see some of the forum posters from last year and what they were saying about our own JT. Bottom line is that whoever you are, you still have to strap it on and earn it each time you put it on the line.

whatever

Funny that you reference JT and the bottom line..... ;)

After the Midlands I think things will settle down once again at 133 - let some of the top guys go head to head. That said, one things get as messy as 133 is getting the guys doing the ratings will simply have to fall back on their gut feelings and I think that they all feel as though Ramos will be in the finals again this year. Who he will be facing in that match is the real question.

Let's see, Graff was #2 when he lost to Colon and then Graff subsequently fell all the way down to #8.  Now we have the #1 losing to an unranked guy.  My guess is he'll fall just a few spots.  I hate rankings.
