Sueflohn with a huge comeback against Grajales, finished of with a match-winning TD at the buzzer to advance to the finals tonight against Maple of Oklahoma. Way to wrestle tough Jake!

Howe is dominating and looks to be paired with Kokesh of Nebraska in the finals tonight. Rutt has Heflin of Ohio State in the semis, and looks to wrestle Meeks of Oregon State tonight.

Some quick highlights:

125 - Dylan Peters dropped his first match of the year (and first time not pinning an opponent this year) to Garrett of Cornell by a close 4-2 (?) decision.

133 - Colon of UNI lost to Johnny DiJulius of Ohio State 8-2 (4 pt desperation move at the end) in the semis.

141 - Devin Carter defaulted the semis (injury hamstring last night in quarterfinal win) - Stieber rolling with all falls

149 - Sueflohn and Maple, as mentioned above.

157 - Michigan went with true freshman Brian Murphy, who had some big wins and nearly pulled off another upset over James Green of Nebraska (lost in overtime). Brian Realbuto from Cornell is in the finals against Green.

165 - Moreno and Sulzer dominated to make finals.

174 - Howe dominated - will get a good match with Kokesh in the finals.

184 - Dudley of Nebraska gets to the finals (had a big win over Kenny Courts of Ohio State last night). Other finalist will be either Wyoming or Boise St

197 - Rutt received a medical forfeit from Heflin (ankle injury from the quarterfinals last night).

285 - Coon of Michigan had a big upset over Gwiaz of NC State last night in the quarters.

And yes, you counted right - that's 5 in the finals for Nebraska. Pretty impressive, especially DiJulius at 133.

Maple really controlled the match on the feet. Jake didn't get much of a chance on top due to a questionable jump by Maple to start the second that didn't get called. Maple seemed to be back to his form from last year. Still a great tournament by Jake.
