Lol!  Actually, it wasn't even a house cat, but insisted on slipping past my father as he entered the house one night.  It immediately ran into the baby's room and leaped into the crib.  Dad ran after him; then saw him exit the crib with a live bat in his mouth.  Apparently, he somehow knew it was there...
