It sounds like Koethe is transfering to Grandview. Hope UW can use that extra scholarship $ to get another good wrestler in the next recruiting class.

Did Koethe have a decent chance at varsity this year?  Why did he leave?

Not this season.  Was reading on the Iowa forum that someone ran into him and Cooper, Iowa's new 149 lber and they said Justin looked about 200 lbs.  That's too bad.  Best of luck to him at Grandview.

I think he would have been in the mix and would have helped with depth. Seemed like a good guy. Grandview will be stack for another run at the NAIA title and maybe four in a row now.

What sort of timeline are we looking at until we can start to hear some new updates?  When does practice start?

I heard that practice starts in about 2 weeks.

i don't think practice can officially start until the second week of October.

Open mats / club workouts usually begin 2nd week of Sept. Most guys are always in the room on their own around the same time right now anyway.
