get to see some of the top teams in the Big 10 and the country at home. When will Big 10 tickets go on sale? November?

Why isn't Penn State on the schedule?

No Cliff Keen Tourney either.  Pick up Hokie Open and Navy Classic.

I think it was Coach B that said the team was looking to schedule some more east coast teams because typically UW didn't see them until NCAA time.

UW drops a top level tournament in Cliff Keen for two mid level east coast tournaments.  Hokie and Navy will probably yield better team results, but won't have the top end talent of the CK tourney.

As a fan I would like to see them knocking heads at the CK tourney, but I can understand the philosophy behind picking up the east coast events.  Besides Midlands and the grind of the B1G season still allows for plenty of top end competition.

I like the transition to the Hokie and Navy classic. Going from Vegas to a couple duals to Midlands and then B1G season was a big grind. There really wasn't a break, especially since we always wrestle during Thanksgiving weekend. These tournaments will still have some top guys, just not every round. We need to be fresh going into Midlands and B1G season, and keeping records up will help for early season rankings and qualifying your weight for NCAAs. Smart move - we'll be able to wear down all of those east coasters again come the 3rd period ;)

I'm going to make the early prediction, that the Badgers beat Iowa at home ;D

billymurphy

Iowa (Derek St. John may not be able to make 157 and forced to go 165--Cooper may not be able to make 149 leaving Kelly as the starter)  but projected lineup at this moment.

125- Cory Clark or Gilman  vs. Taylor
133- Tony Ramos vs. Graff
141- Josh Dziewa  vs Thielke
149- Cooper - Ruschell
157- Derek St. John-  Jordan
165-  Nick Moore-  Cousins
174-  Evans - Liegel
184-  Ethen lofthouse- Hein
197- Nathan Burak- McCall
Hwt- Bobby Telford-  Medbery

Iowa finished ahead of the Badgers in all 10 weights in last years Big Ten Tournament.

GoodGod

33, 41 and HVY are all toss with Iowa favored at the other 7 weights.

The comments at the bottom of that article are pretty entertaining.

I'm as big of Thielke fan as anyone, but there's no way he techs Dziewa.

That's what I was thinking,  but I wasn't going to say it.
