Does anyone know if they are going to be using the new rules for free/Greco at northern plains

I would imagine they have to as the old rules no longer exist

Good point, but when did they go into effect? Was southern plains with the new rules or were the rules changed after? Our state tourney didnt have them, so I'm guessing it was after that.

Here is the info I just received from an official for Northern Plains.


USAW has not stated when that change over will take place yet. Just that the rules have changed but no implementation date. Lots of things have to happen including: Giving coaches time to adapt the rules in the practice room. Notice I said coaches not kids. They adapt quicker.
Letting officials adjust to the rules buy allowing tournament clinicians develop a teaching strategy.
Allowing TrackWrestling time to adjust software to accommodate the changes.
