Regional Placements

The WIAA finally changed up some of the regional placements for the Trailways Conference.

In the Markesan Regional you will find:
Lourdes
Princeton
Montello
Markesan
Laconia
Westfield
Winnebago Lutheran

In the Dodgeland Regional you will find:
Oakfield
Dodgeland
Horicon
Hustisford
Ozaukee
Lomira

Those two regionals will go to the Cedar Grove Sectional

In the Parkview Regional you will find
Deerfield
Johnson Creek
Parkview
Waterloo
Poynette
Wisconsin Heights
Cambridge

They will head to the Necedah Sectional

And with their co-op with Cambria, Rio/Fall River gets bumped to division 2 and finds its way into the Marshall Regional and Adams-Friendship Sectional


I think the WIAA did a good job of evening out some of the talent in the regionals.  The Cedar Grove sectional loses Johnson Creek and Rio/Fall River, but brings back Lomira and adds Mishicot, New Holstein, Westfield, and Winnebago Lutheran.  Lomira is a solid team and moving Ozaukee out of the traditional CLC regional brings in more talent to the sectional brackets.
Johnson Creek gets shipped to the traditional tough Necedah sectional (formerly Min. Point).  They will have their work cut out for them in their new sectional. 
Rio/Fall River/Cambria is going to have a tough route in their regional to get anyone through.  Marshall and Lodi are both very tough and it will be an interesting to see how R/FR/CF wrestles at the D2 level.

Rio/FR/CF will have a tough road this up comming season moving to D2.  However, this is the last year for the Fall River coop.  I'm pretty sure they will not renew it seeing they do not have anyone else in the program except a senior.  They probably will be back in D3 for the 2014-2015 season.
