He faces the Erik Nye who beat Dremiel Byers tonight at 9PM.  Arendt beat Nye last month in Armed forces championship.

Good luck Junior!

Wow...
How much has David been wrestling recently?  I did not know he was back in competition.

He is quite a story...

After high school and winning a state title in 2003 at HWT for Port Washington.  He joined the Marines.  Initially he was selected to be a part of the Arlington Body Bearer select group.  After a while he tried out for the Marines wrestling team, trained and competed well nationally and internationally.  He was the last American to beat Byers before this weekend.  David has spent three tours in Afghanistan.  A couple years ago he stopped wrestling and went back to Afghanistan.  Upon returning safely he was faced with a decision to go to drill seargant school or once again train for the next Olympics as a part of the Marines wrestling team.  He has chosen to wrestle and has competed a few times this year-winning the armed forces tournament last month.

He is just an outstanding young man...We are very proud of him in Port Washington!  We are hoping to make plans for Rio!! :D
