Advice from a former coach and dad to all state competitors as I am still excited for this fantastic tournament:

Respect everyone as each wrestler at state has the ability to win but

Have no fear for anyone and concern yourself with only the match at hand.  Rankings & past matches mean absolutely nothing.

Stick to your routine and your strengths.  Those are why you are here.

Hit every move (series of moves) with commitment.

Minimize distractions.

Trust yourself and the coaches that prepared you.   Don't let the moment be too big.

Expect to have a moment of adversity.  Wrestle through it and don't let your emotions get the best of you.

Above all else, Never Ever Give In.

Good luck and have a great week of practice!

Great advice, coach!  You should know!   8)
None are so hopelessly enslaved, as those who falsely believe they are free. The truth has been kept from the depth of their minds by masters who rule them with lies. -Johann Von Goethe

Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
