Dake just edged Howe (4-2) in overtime in the finals of the World Team Trials Challenge tournament. Gets to go against Burroughs next to see who represents the US this year.

I see it was overtime - I wonder what the rules are on that now.  I think Howe was on the bottom, and must have given up a turn?

I was trying to follow on trackwrestling.com ....

USAW rules are different than FILA...no OT in FILA..

Dake would of won either way.

Was one of the best matches Ive seen.

OT...
Appears they start OT with 10:00 minutes on the clock and that is OT period 1.  First score wins.  They started neutral.  Howe working Dakes head (as he did entire regulation)... Dake got in on a leg at about the 3:00 mark in OT... Howe miraculously got out of it.. (you'd have to see it... I don't know if I've ever seen that kind of 'escape' from a shot before)... then at around 7 minutes gone in 1st OT, Howe got in on a leg and Dake somehow lifted/tossed/turned (?) Howe for two.  Howe challenged, but in the replay it was obvious it was all Dakes initiation etc....

So they wrestled a 6 minute regulation, and 7 minute OT?  Wow !!

The 'first' OT period clock starts at TEN MINUTES and goes down... Then there is a second OT period.  I do not know what the second OT period would be, but I'd guess another 10 minutes.  I have not read the new rules.

Burroughs wins 7-0 over Dake in the first period.  I guess that's why he's the champ.

Burroughs wins the second round 9-6 in overtime.....  Dake was winning 6-4 late in regulation, but must have gave up points late.

I would've paid $50 on T.V. for the Dake vs Howe Match. Sounds outstanding! I can't believe Taylor teched Howe! Taylor is a great wrestler! Gongrats Jordan!

Not only great to see Dake beat Howe, but even better to see DT tech him. I hope that this translates to next years college season. Like to see TD and E Ruth share the Hodge; they both are worthy.
