Now that seems like a significant loss to me. Packers were already dubious at that spot already - now this.

I agree.  With Rodgers not playing in the final preseason game, there is no game time experience between center and qb in the opener.  That could potentially be a problem.  They can get all the practice reps they want, but a game is at a completely different speed.
When opportunity comes, its too late to prepare.

Scary. But a big chance for our team to find a tough guy who can do it. Thankless, but can pay well. I hope our new center leads the Pack into the first game. One thing McCarthy does right is to give folks a good shot. Beav got faith in his folks. I like that.
