1. Penn State - 12
2. Minnesota - 6
2. Ohio State - 6
2. Cornell - 6
5. Oklahoma St. - 4

Pat Mineo tweet:

Coaches lost track of time while J'Den was running/cutting and the scales were closing up, grabbed him a minute too late.

He made it but it was ruled to be void (too late) after the fact.

Seth Gross vs. Joe Colon in the next round.  Joe Colon has had Seth's number if I recall correctly.  Colon has beat Gross 16-12, 11-5, and 21-15 in the last 3 matchups.  This should be a great match with lots of scoring.  Hope Gross can get over the hump.

Gross lost 9-8.  I think he had the takedown at the end and he lost 4+1 points after the whistle blew.  That is a tough loss.  I really think he should have won that match.

I wonder how Braxton Amos will do with having to wrestle 2 different matches so close together the way the tournament is being run.  He could leave the mat from one style and be up on the next mat within a few minutes it seems.

For sure!

I love Freestyle but I can stand the officiating. There have been so many jacked up matches over the years it is mind boggling. I am not sure if it is the rules, the interpretation of the rules or just the fact that the officials do not have enough experience officiating high lever Freestyle matches.

I did not see the match but based on what I read he gotten taken down and laced 4 times for 8. It happens in Freestyle. Anyone can get caught in a lace and get teched. I highly doubt he through in the the towel.

Wait, now hearing may not be true.

Would be nice if some of the Stanford wrestlers made their way to Madison!

He won't wrestle his semi in Greco until tonight. I would wrestle the consi Freestyle match. If you lose your done, but if you win you have an option.

Sheridan the #2 seed in the Greco beat Clark only 4-2. Very good opportunity to make the finals of the challenge.

Pretty incredible day for the RTC.  Braxton is unbelievable.  A 19 year old yet to wrestle a college match in the US greco finals wrestling 17 pounds heavier than he will be wrestling next fall. To get there he beat 3 of the top 5 in the US.

Just curious, who in the RTC room is pushing him to help him get to this level? Newton, Hillger, Christensen? Anybody else? Do any high level guys come in to train with him occasionally?

So many wrestlers with Wisconsin ties. My friends were a little surprised to hear this person is at the RTC, from Wisconsin, etc.
