152 is humorous! Mulvaney(freshman) has head to head win with a pin over Mechler and he is ranked two spots lower. Even if you don't call it a long Mulvaney is still winning.
Well when you have guys at 170 and 182 P4P that do not align with how the individual weight classes are ranked, it looks like LL is still in preseason form as well.

They split on the season, Mulvaney lost at Team State as well.
This guy has been a joke on here for a couple years. He acts as if he really knows wrestling. Dude is so biased it's hard to even have an intelligent conversation with him.

Ben you sound like Christian Pyles talking over Nomad on FRL. I'm glad to see some WI rankings on Flo. Gives us something to talk about for the upcoming season. Hopefully we have a season to see how these rankings play out on the mat.
Would you listen to a guy like Ben Askren (won't mention the laundry list of accomplishments and things he has done for wrestling in this state) has to say about wrestling, or some anonymous guy on the internet named Luke...hmmmm?? ::) ::)

The rankings aren't projections they are based off results from last season like head to head wins over guys who are within 1-2 spots. Appreciate having rankings that hit a more national brand(flowrestling), but a lot of them make little sense.
I know they aren't predictions, and kids will certainly move weights. Rankings are never perfect. Post up your own rankings so we can see how "off" Luke was with his. IMO a slight in the rankings could be used to motivate a kid.

The idea of releasing rankings in early August based on weights wrestled 5 months ago is a bit odd.
Some people have wrestling on the brain all year long. Don't think it's a bad thing.
While LL could be annoying at times no one can say he doesn't do his homework.
How'd he get totally banned? While he wouldn't let go in an argument he brought some pretty impressive stats at times.
Helped with the Crossface rankings for two years...tough to do even in December.
Luke basically didn't have answers for Bens argument. Lol also Mallard it's pretty Dang simple end of season rankings are mainly based on the end of the season. I know that may be mind blowing info for you.... so 132 which is an incredibly easy one to fix LL ranked it 2. Willis 3. Cherba 4. Goebel. Willis didn't even make it to state(should be a red flag!) All 3 were in the same sectional. Cherba beat Willis head to head and then Willis lost to a guy who didn't make state who Goebel then beat by 6. Cherba and Willis took 3rd and 5th at state. LOL can't wait to see how many people join LL and his forum.

He sent a tweet to Ben that he was right and switched 132 as he had it different in his spreadsheet.
Well, the purpose was well-served - get some chatter and interest in the up coming season; a little dust up of opinions never hurts. Good for Luke and good for Ben.
I'm sure most people would have Luke ranked higher, if they watched the matches they wrestled. Not sure why the big deal is overall though...
Anything to draw the National scene (Flo) to the Wisconsin brand is good. We are lucky to have Ben there doing just that.

You know it has to be possible for guys to be ranked higher than someone who beat them. It happens all the time because unless that guy is undefeated, you get into A beat B, B Beat C, C beat A. Then you go off the body of the rest of the work.

They got Ben real good... ::) LL sounded foolish and they even brought up on the show all the people in the comments disagreeing with him. LL then changed his rankings because he was wrong.

it is all good with the rankings. There are kids that have beat other kids and are ranked lower. O well it is good to have some chatter about wrestling in August for sure ;D
I think a great man on this forum has said that is why they wrestle the matches ;D
