EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern won four individual bouts on Friday night against North Dakota State, including three straight at the upper weights from Johnny Sebastian (174), Mitch Sliga (184) and Jacob Berkowitz (197), who are all off to career starts.

Jason Ipsarides also picked up a win for the Wildcats at 133 lbs.

Berkowitz increased his team-leading win total to nine, while Sebastian and Sliga each picked up win number eight on the year. All three only have one loss.

"This is what we expected to see out of these guys," head coach Matt Storniolo said. "But I still think each of these guys could have had an even better match tonight."

Despite the four wins, Northwestern dropped the dual to No. 23 North Dakota State, 24-12.

Sebastian won by 6-4 decision to get the Wildcats on the board after four straight Bison wins to open the dual that began at 141 lbs. Sliga followed with an 8-2 decision, and Berkowitz rounded out the winning streak with a 9-7 win.

NDSU won at 285 and 125 before Ipsarides closed out the night with an 8-2 victory of his own at 133 lbs.

Chicago's Big Ten Team remains at home next weekend when SIU-Edwardsville comes to town for an 8 p.m. dual on Saturday, Dec. 10.
