How many of you remember Bob Konovsky?

Bob Konovsky is a former guard in the National Football League. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 1956 NFL Draft by the Chicago Cardinals and played three seasons with the team.[1] He also played for The Chicago Bears under coach and founder George Halas in 1960. Following his time in the NFL, Konovsky played with the Denver Broncos during the 1961 American Football League season. Also a wrestler, Konovsky was a 3 time Big Ten HWT Champion at The University of Wisconsin (Madison)and finished second the NCAA three times and is an inductee in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum.[2] Bob also was a professional wrestler after college using the nickname Killer Konovsky.

In 56 he took second while seeded second.

1954 Gene Nicks(1st) from Oklahoma State 7-0

So in 56 he lost to an unseeded wrestler from oklahoma on a referee decision. Wow what a tournament for the guy from Oklahoma.
And then there was that.

1956 Gorden Roesler of (US) Oklahoma 4-4RD Was seeded 2nd and took 2nd. Oberly took third, wrestling back (4 wins) from a second round loss to Roesler.
1955 Bill Oberly(4th) from PSU in semis 8-4 Was seeded 1st and took 3rd.  Lost in Semi's to Oberly who won it.
1954 Gene Nicks(1st) from Oklahoma State 7-0 Was seeded 2nd and took 2nd.
