when is the last time the Badgers blanked a Big 10 team

According to the article http://www.uwbadgers.com/sports/m-wrestl/recaps/121114aab.html, this was the first time UW shutout another Division I school in 11 years.

likely not a big 10 team, wonder how long that has been

QuoteTonight's victory marked the Badgers' first shutout over a Division I school in eleven years. Wisconsin recorded another shutout over Indiana in 1983.

Hey, are coaches allowed to respond to threads?  Appears a bit unseemly to me.  By the way, you looked very imposing and thoughtful, sitting next to the Badger braintrust last night. ;)

Tom M, I'm concerned this shut out win is going to go to the "honorary" coaches head! ;D

Yes... I'd say be very concerned...

SDSU was not D1 at that time...

41st NCAA Division II Wrestling Tournament 2003
At West Liberty State - 3/14/2003 to 3/15/2003
Top Ten Team Scores   (Number of Individual Champs in parentheses.)
1 Central Oklahoma 87.5 (3)
2 Nebraska-Kearney 73.5 (1)
3 Nebraska-Omaha 65.5 (2)
4 North Dakota State 63 (1)
5 Findlay 57.5 (1)
6 Adams State 56 (1)
7 Northern Colorado 52
8 San Francisco State 47.5 (1)
9 St. Cloud State 44
10 South Dakota State 40

So the last shutout was apparently in 1983 vs. Indiana over a D1 team. (but I don't have the "Total Recall" of badgerjohn...  8) )

and Zeke won 3-1 and team is up 20-0.

Looks like the reply on the Big Ten Network is 9 AM Friday.  If you want to watch, remember to set the DVR.

Thanks for the heads up. Good match for UW. Some things to work on but overall solid!

I watched the tape delay of the match, the play by play announcer was dry and as usual, uneducated in the sport of wrestling.... Luckily he had the other guy ( Rohwe ? ) to bail him out.

Love it, imagining you sitting next to the Bus Driver, looking pensive and thoughtful the entire trip...
