I also question how Brown was able to get in over some of the others.

I'll assume Brown got in from the ACC because Carter (Virginia Tech) was injured.  Carter would have earned another AQ spot allocation for the ACC if healthy.  So the ACC probably has the proper amount of wrestlers qualified now.  Carter returning for the conference tournament probably cost either JT or Small a bid.

Dutton should have had an automatic qualifier spot - regardless of number of matches wrestled. That would given 141 7 qualifiers. He was ranked in the top 15 in every single poll.  I think the NCAA needs to review that

I also believe jt had the common opponent advantage against brown. I think they must have looked at wins over national qualifiers, but then why is brown ahead of small?
