I was just glancing at the bracket and was wondering if they seed for this tournament. If they don't seed, I find it very hard to believe that the top four teams would just "end up" the way they did.

Not seeded. Its a matrix system just like individual state.

It's a 25% chance that it just "ends up" getting seeded the way you think it should (for DII and DIII anyway). Ever want to cut a heart from a deck of cards and you end up getting one?

Don't get me wrong I think the pairings are great but it would be a 12.5% (D1) chance since there are 8 slots not four. They could have been wrestling each other in the first round. I am all for seeding but this Is just is too much of a coincidence.

Sorry bud, its just a coincidence. These pairings are done and published several years in advance. Next years pairings are available in the WIAA season regulations under "draws for future years."

I know they used to be available on the WIAA web site, but cannot locate them now. Any idea where they are?

It's in the season regulations. Individual sectional pairings are on pg 58, state on pg 61-63, team sectional pairings pg 66, and team state pairings are on pg 68. They don't list the future pairings.

In the 2013-2014 Senior High handbook on page 56, it lists the following draws for future years:

4 Teams (i.e. Division II and III wrestling)

2014-2015 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3 (which is the Team Sectionals Regional I vs Regional IV and the Team State A vs D, B vs C order)

2015-2016 3 vs 4, 1 vs 2

2016-2017 1 vs 3, 2 vs 4

2017-2018 2 vs 3, 1 vs 4

2018-2019 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4

For 8 teams (ie DI Team State)

2014-2015 4 vs. 8; 1 vs. 7; 2 vs. 6; 3 vs. 5

2015-2016 2 vs. 3; 5 vs. 8; 1 vs. 4; 6 vs. 7

2016-2017 7 vs. 8; 5 vs. 6; 1 vs. 2; 3 vs. 4

2017-2018 1 vs. 3; 2 vs. 4; 6 vs. 8; 5 vs. 7

2018-2019 2 vs. 8; 3 vs. 7; 1 vs. 5; 4 vs. 6
