Excellent, excellent, excellent adjustment from Gross going to those 2-on-1, Russian ties on their feet. Completely neutralized Desanto. Also, it provided a way into scramble positions where Desanto didn't have easy finishes.

I'm going to watch it back, but I think Gross got jobbed out of a takedown during a 2nd period scramble.

Also, that cradle in the 1st... if he could have absorbed that one last Desanto rock, would have been curtains.

What a good final round, sweeping the placement matches!

He went to a 2 on 1 not even 5 seconds into the first match.

I just took a look at the match on YouTube...I'm just glad that I wasn't the ref on that mat - yikes! So many split second moments where points could have been earned - or not. Tough to be the zebra for that match.

There are a lot of calls that could have went either way. As already mentioned, I am not sure Desanto was on his back long enough to get back points, but he also seemed to get another takedown that wasn't called.

Hopefully come march Gross will have a but better conditioning as Desanto was coming on at the end.

Little surprised at Wick dropping to #6. Now he needs to work hard and get back in the top 3.
