Registration is now open for all 3 MWT tournaments.

Click here to view the tournament info and to register www.midwestwrestlingtour.org

There are two things I have noticed on these boards. 1. People like to see the matrix. The matrix is viewable since registration opened. 2. People like seeded brackets. We seed the brackets. We separate the top 4-8 wrestlers in each bracket. We have had a very high success rate. People love that we do it. Makes all the sense in the world.

If you can make it to any or all of these tournaments, you will not be let down.

Highlighting the MWT is the prized MWT Belt. The MWT Belt will be presented to those wrestlers who place first through sixth at EACH of the MWT events. The quality of the MWT Belt will be consistent with the custom medals that the wrestlers covet so much.

Highlights
•   More info at www.midwestwrestlingtour.org
•   Attend 1, 2 or all 3 MWT Events
•   Saturday: Grades 3 & 4, 5 & 6
•   Sunday: Grades Pre-K & K, 1 & 2, 7 & 8
•   Top wrestlers are seeded so they do not meet up until the later rounds.
•   The MWT events will be run as well as any other tournaments in the country. Just ask anyone who has been to any of the past MWT events and I am sure they will give you positive feedback.
•   Tournament communication: If you send an email, you will get a response. If you call, you will have someone answer or get a call back.
•   The MWT events draw top wrestlers from multiple states. If you are looking for tough wrestlers, you will find them at the MWT events.
•   Viewable matrix from day 1. As soon as registration opens, the list of registered wrestlers will be viewable to the public.
•   Brackets released prior to the tournament.
•   High quality custom medals and belts.
•   Portion of money generated from events are kept by the local host group that we partner with the event on. Great fundraising opportunity.
•   We will use Track Wrestling for registration. We will also enter all the results into Track.

Is there a way the link to past year's results can get fixed? I would be interested to see how last's years brackets stacked up.

Two exciting announcements

1. Champions at Hawkeye Nationals will be awarded a custom Hawkeye Nationals singlet. Thanks to the kind donation of James Roberts and Customized Wrestling Apparel.

2. We created a video of everyone who placed last year at Gopher State and Badgerland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2c0ZadxcOU

Also, brackets from last year will be posted by the end of the day. Sorry for the delay.

WATERLOO, Iowa—The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum will offer a special autograph signing with Dan Gable on Saturday, Dec. 6 from noon to 1:30 p.m at Young Arena. The signing will take place during Hawkeye Nationals held at the Young Arena in Waterloo, Iowa.

"This autograph signing is a great way to kick off the wrestling season," said Kyle Klingman, director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. "We are always excited to have Dan back in his hometown."

Hawkeye Nationals will take place on Dec. 6-7.

Gable is arguably the greatest athlete and coach ever. In 1972 won a gold medal at the Munich Olympics without surrendering a point. As the head coach at the University of Iowa he led the Hawkeyes to 15 NCAA team titles in 21 years, compiling a 355-21-5 dual meet record.

Young Arena has been an excellent facility for wrestling competitions over the years. It has hosted the World Team Trials, the Division III NCAA tournament, international dual meets, and hundreds of youth competitions.

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum is located at 303 Jefferson St. in Waterloo, just two blocks from Young Arena. All are welcome to attend this special autograph signing.
