It looks like the following Badgers will be participating in the US Open in Las Vegas next week:
Tyler Graff is the # 4 Seed at 132
Kyle Ruschell is the # 10 Seed at 145.5
Trevor Brandvold is the # 7 Seed at 211.5
Does anyone know if any other Badger wrestlers are going to compete?
Interesting to see Kyle Massey at #5. I didn't know he was still competing.

Why did Massey leave UW?
He had a better opportunity. :o

Go get them guys!
Rock - I'm starting to think you are a magician...
I am not sure what all you other people that go watch the Badgers matches live think, but I did not feel like Massey reached his potential at UW. He did have one great match against NW that I remember, but I felt like had the ability to do better. Sometimes you would see him running sprints after his matches. I wanted to see the "explosion" during the matches.
Is any of the US Open on tv?

I really with they would do away with some of these rules. It's 2013. You shouldn't lose a match at Sr Nationals 2-2. And plus, it takes away from the conditioning aspect of it, which from what I personally saw this apst year Alton wasn't exactly great at, so I think the old rules would have given Kyle a win here.
These are the exact type of rules that would have made it easier for a Dan Gable to get beat, and isn't he pretty much the epitome of what our sport is about?
Absolutely!
I see Kyle is in the Round of 16. It looks like he needed to finish top 8 in the challenge tourney to do this.
He has Drew Headlee first. If he wins, most likely Metcalf in the next round !!
Brackets are updated at www.trackwrestling.com
That whole bracket is loaded !
Good work so far Kyle. Go get them!
Kyle lost to Headlee - no other matches yet
Jordan Oliver vs. Kellen Russell in the final - Oliver beat Metcalf in the semis.
Kyle won his 2nd match today, lost his 3rd... finished in the Round of 12.
Jesse with a win over Simmions in the 1/4's - 7-0, 0-4, 7-0!
Trever with a fall over Cayle Byers in the first round.
Graff beats Beebe in 3 and then beats to Hochstrasser 2-2, 4-2, 1-1 in the finals seconds to advance to the semis against Coleman Scott!
Not UW related but Dave Arendt (Port Washington in the house) advances to the semis in 120kg Greco with a 2 period win over Jake Kettler.
Jesse loses to Betterman by fall in the semis.
Trevor over Les Sigman in 2 periods! He will have Zabriske or Bergman in the semis.
Dave Arndt to the finals against Erik Nye (upset Byers in the semis).
Graff loses to Coleman Scott in the semis 0-1, fall.
Stieber loses to Humphrey - sets up potential Graff/Stieber matchup for 3rd.
Trevor loses to Bergman 0-1, 0-1 in the semis.
Graff beats Stieber! Awesome match ... Graff was in on a lot of leg attacks.
Awesome win by graff!
WOW! Great job Tyler!

Anyone know where this match can be found online? It is indeed a significant win; I think it will help next year if/when they finally face-off.

Flowrestling should archive it. They had 20 matches steaming live since Wednesday - so hopefully sometime this week.
And if I was a betting man, my guess is Stieber will be at 141 next year.
Nice weekend for Thielke, Graff and Lubeck. Nice to see Graff beat Stieber, hopefully Graff gets a chance at him next year...although it sounds like Stieber might move up to 141.
I am sure Thielke expected more, but pretty impressive result considering he wrestled the entire open with a recent broken nose.
I think Lubeck will surprise some people next year. Hopefully he can put on a little weight and be a good sized 149 next year.
Great job by Trevor Brandvold as well. Made in to the Semis and lost a close match.
Looks like he must got hurt in the wrestlebacks - he showed he can compete very well at 96KG
Good work Trevor.
