It looks like the following Badgers will be participating in the US Open in Las Vegas next week:

Tyler Graff is the # 4 Seed at 132
Kyle Ruschell is the # 10 Seed at 145.5
Trevor Brandvold is the # 7 Seed at 211.5

Does anyone know if any other Badger wrestlers are going to compete?

Interesting to see Kyle Massey at #5. I didn't know he was still competing.

Why did Massey leave UW?

He had a better opportunity.   :o

I am not sure what all you other people that go watch the Badgers matches live think, but I did not feel like Massey reached his potential at UW.  He did have one great match against NW that I remember, but I felt like had the ability to do better.  Sometimes you would see him running sprints after his matches.  I wanted to see the "explosion" during the matches.

Nice!  Keep it rolling Kyle.

I really with they would do away with some of these rules.  It's 2013.  You shouldn't lose a match at Sr Nationals 2-2.  And plus, it takes away from the conditioning aspect of it, which from what I personally saw this apst year Alton wasn't exactly great at, so I think the old rules would have given Kyle a win here.

These are the exact type of rules that would have made it easier for a Dan Gable to get beat, and isn't he pretty much the epitome of what our sport is about?

Absolutely!

I see Kyle is in the Round of 16.  It looks like he needed to finish top 8 in the challenge tourney to do this.

He has Drew Headlee first.  If he wins, most likely Metcalf in the next round !!

Anyone know where this match can be found online? It is indeed a significant win; I think it will help next year if/when they finally face-off.

Flowrestling should archive it. They had 20 matches steaming live since Wednesday - so hopefully sometime this week.

And if I was a betting man, my guess is Stieber will be at 141 next year.

Nice weekend for Thielke, Graff and Lubeck.  Nice to see Graff beat Stieber, hopefully Graff gets a chance at him next year...although it sounds like Stieber might move up to 141.

I am sure Thielke expected more, but pretty impressive result considering he wrestled the entire open with a recent broken nose.

I think Lubeck will surprise some people next year.  Hopefully he can put on a little weight and be a good sized 149 next year.

Great job by Trevor Brandvold as well.  Made in to the Semis and lost a close match.

Looks like he must got hurt in the wrestlebacks - he showed he can compete very well at 96KG
