It may be a bit early to post our tournament, but we want to be prepared this year. We tried Track full scale last year and it did not go as planned. This year we will use it for pre-registration, and bracketing. Brackets will be completed on Friday Feb. 28th and posted online. Another lesson, use the same number scheme throughout the day, no escalating bout numbers, same mat, same bout number all day. We will not depend on faulty printers causing us delays, all wiil be pre-printed Friday evening. No walk-ins, that proved to be the cause for additional delays the morning of the tournament. Charts, awards and team scoring will be done as in previous years when it worked flawlessly. Track is great, but you need to know your limits.  We are combining the good from past with the good from the future.

ChargerDad

We have attended the last two years, and won't be this year (because we are going to high school individual state not because of what happened last year).  I felt for you guys last year when things went south on you.  I think the biggest lesson was to enforce the no walkin rule regardless of weather and preprint the brackets.  For anyone that may have heard exaggerated horror stories about this tourney last year, Southern Door was hit by a perfect storm of bad weather delaying arrival of wrestlers for Friday night on site registration and printing problems getting brackets out after taking walkins Saturday morning when not planning on it.  This really is a good tourney with some of the coolest team trophies you will ever see.  Don't cheat yourself out of a good tourney because of a couple mistakes from last year when it's obvious the problems from last year have been resolved:-)

Kind words ChargerDad.  We did learn a lot from a new venture last year.  We did not make any excuses, we took some very good feedback, looked in the mirror and have made some changes.  The support has been overwhelming in part due to previous reputation and continuing to be humble and honest.

Once brackets are posted online Friday afternoon, look them over carefully to make sure name, age, weights are correct.  Contact us and we will adjust prior to printing and posting the brackets on the walls Friday evening.

We are nearing the full mark, approx 300 with over two days left to 350 max.  Would like to see more middle school kids.

I have had numerous requests to see if we could add to our tournament, but at this time it is no longer possible.  We had anticipated closing it at 350 wrestlers, which we did.  We are now close to 400 kids.  Sorry to those who made an attempt to squeeze in, but thankful for all who have registered.

I will be updating bracket results on track this week as time permits.
