Sorry if this has been discussed already but just quickly going through the D3 sectionals I see that sectional A has 27 teams, sectional B has 25 teams, sectional C has 27 teams and sectional D has 24 teams.
Is there any other sport that has unequal representation at each sectional? I'm sure geographical location is their reasoning but that doesn't seem to apply in other sports. Seems a little unfair to the kids in the larger sectionals. I'm guessing it's the same in D1 and D2?

I didn't have time to add anything earlier, but I'm guessing the number of co-ops in wrestling makes it pretty much impossible to have equal number of teams. I didn't count, but it looks like wrestling has the most.

This dead horse doesn't even twitch anymore when you beat it. As a former coach of the Mineral Pint sectional, I've heard for years about how uneven it gets at state. Get better at wrestling or move to a wussier sectional.

I'll agree that there are some driving arrangements for teams that are counterintuitive. Just remember that the WIAA could give a rats backside who takes second , third fourth, etc. They want to crown a state champion. I'm confident that the current arrangement does just that. If wrestlebacks to second are going to happen, someone will have to convince the WIAA of such importance.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

Div. 1 has 128 teams so it is even. Other than that  big g is right, crown a champ. That's the object, and that's what it does.
