MARYLAND PROBABLES
125: Michael Beck or Jhared Simmons
133: No. 16 Geoffrey Alexander or Tyler Goodwin
141: Alfred "Baby J" Bannister or Billy Rappo
149: Wade Hodges or Ryan Diehl
157: Lou Mascola or Patrick Gerish
165: Brendan Burnham or Tyler Manion
174: Josh Snook or Derrick Evanovich
184: Jaron Smith or Mark Colabucci
197: Garrett Wesneski or Sean Twigg
285: Dawson Peck or Youssif Hemida

125 WI 3-0
133 WI 6-0 Best Match (no Taylor it's a loss)
141 WI 9-0 benefit of the doubt?
149 WI 12-0
157 WI 12-3
165 WI 15-3
174 WI 18-3
184 WI 21-3
197 WI 21-6
285 WI 24-6

Admittedly don't know much about Maryland's guys. 141 and the upper weights could go the other direction. Expecting an easy win.

157 and Hwy might be tough to win but really hoping big Brock can get that one.

If Mascola wrestles 157 I favor MD.  Where is Brown from MD? He was one of their better guys in the lower weights.

I'm heading to the dual right now with a bunch of my wrestlers. They have a nice clinic before the dual. If you get there early both teams warm up in the Maryland wrestling room and they have bleachers right there you can watch and talk to the wrestlers. I don't recall any wrestler name Brown on Maryland's team recently. Should be a good match for the Badgers.

Shyheim Brown, think wrestled Thielke.  The clinic thing is a good idea.

I forgot about him. He hasn't been wrestling. I don't know if he's hurt or can't beat Baby J or Hodges.

The guy I chatted with online said the event was cancelled and would not be broadcast. I wrote down some unkind words towards his company about being a paid subscriber and they shouldn't advertise it's going to be broadcast when that is not the case. He never responded back.

I just got the same run around. They said "broadcasting rights are subject to change".

Not cool.

Hard make up 6 points in two periods against anyone, especially one that is ranked.  Glad to UW get a win at 197, it's brutal to put in the work and not get positive results.

I didn't look at much at 184 in B10s but I think he can qualify.  He is wrestling well, if he gets placed right at B10s I think he can make it through to NCAAs.

How did RR look?

He looked fine, got the take down, but had a hard time scoring after that.  He didn't look tired or anything.

Hunter Ritter's dad and brother Jake were in the house today.  I saw his dad at dinner Friday night and he said he was going to attend.  They brought a former state placer Perryville wrestler with them who had a very unfortunate motorcycle accident after graduation and is now in a wheel chair.  Can't wait to have Hunter in the line up next year!

Congrats to Eric Peissig for his first big ten win.
I admit it, I did not expect that to happen.

Grant, by the way, your state tournament run
your senior year was impressive, only giving
up a single point in four matches.
