Taylor with tech fall 23-8. Well done sir!!!!!
Schopp lost? I'm surprised..
sorry i haven't been following thielke that close this year, but is his record really 5-12 like it shows on track wrestling?
YES.
Jordan with a 9-3 win.
Frank Cousins loses 6-0
Robertson with a 4-0 win
McCall loses 3-2 in overtime

did he pick both up in the second period?
Conor Medberry wins 15-0 TF.
is Iowa sick?
I think with the exception of Cousins, who was shut out, every badger wrestler had the lead at least at the end of the first period. I am getting old, so my memory could be failing me.
I'd like to hear from someone who was watching, if CM was that dominating.

when I look at that list I don't see anyone behind us except maybe Edinboro that will pass us... but when I look in front of us I don't see any teams we will pass... I would expect that 12th to be about where we finish.... but as Iowa showed, anything can happen.
McCall chose both up. He had :44 seconds of riding time, I can only assume he was planning to ride for :16 in the 3rd and then cut.
Yes Medberry was that dominant.

I caught the match of the Appalachian State HW that Medberry will face. He is very athletic, like Medberry & McMullin, and he looks plenty strong. I think it is a good matchup for Medberry, but could be a close match.
Does anyone think Thielke or McCall have a chance at working there way through the consolations to make AA ?

IF TM wrestles like he can he would have a shot, but that hasn't been the case the last 2 months.

Sure 12th is OK when you have low expectations. When you want to be a top team then 12th is not OK... but our history says 12th is just our place and I should except that. Forgive me for wanting to do better.

An upset to be sure, just not completely unexpected. The MD guy had some creds. Perhaps not unlike defending champ Delgado coming in unseeded. People expect him to win regardless of his seed (that said, he just lost, I know). But you get the idea - the MD guy wasn't a slouch.

No that is terrible! Our team sucks, BD sucks, everything SUCKS! This is ridiculous! Start showing some support wrestling is the hardest sport in the world! Sick of the negativity! Go Bucky. Think all three of our guys in the quarters have a chance to make it to the semis!
and Jesse Thielke makes the second day! Nice work Badgers!
Frank Cousins with a big win 6-0 over Taylor Massa(Michigan) who he got pinned by at conference!
Timmy won as well so all of the Badgers are heading to day two of the NCAA's!

Myers AA'd a couple years ago, he's an accomplished wrestler. He looked lousy in January because he wasn't in wrestling shape, so it's understandable that he was under-ranked. Plus he has been healthy, unlike unseeded wonders like Delgado, Kindig, etc.

Strong match. Cousins has built a career on that inside trip.
He's more than a part time wrestler. This is the first year he played football. He did have a late start because MD made a bowl game. He was an all american as a freshmen. I've seen him wrestle a couple times this year. He is tough and getting tougher every match.
